What is “Watch-only wallet”

Watch-only is a term used to describe wallets which do not store or use private keys. These
wallets use only public keys, allowing them to show users their balances and receive bitcoin.
However, since watch-only wallets do not store private keys, they cannot sign or spend any
bitcoin.

Personal Data within Alas

Alas does not collect any of your data.
Alas does not store private key in any form (in your device or outside of your device). Private
key needs to be immediately saved outside of the device the moment they appear on the
screen.
Alas does need internet connection but only for API calls regarding to Bitcoin's on chain metrics
and gold price.
Alas can work without an internet connection when it comes to generating public and private
keys.
Alas only stores the public key in your device that is generated when creating a bitcoin key pair.

Personal Information and future Policy within Alas

We do not collect any of identifiable information from users within Alas app.
Any code or privacy policy changes will not result in changing the original policy of the Alas
application when it comes to private keys.
Alas application, in any version, will not be able to save, collect or stores any of generated
private keys
